Dave's Dungeon Blog

We recently had a weekend of Dungeoneering and it was great fun, so much so that it made me want to finish my custom made dungeon. However after much deliberation I decided to switch my one quarter finished project to 15mm scale, the 28mm scale project was taking far too much time and effort. With this in mind I did some research and came across the Pendraken ready built dungeon. It is sold as 10mm scale but the squares are 16x16mm so 15mm size models are usable. I ordered enough components to make the WHQ set plus a few more as I intend to use it for my own dungeon game.

The pile of dungeon washed and ready to be painted.

I had to cut some bits and add them to various sections to ensure they matched the WHQ dimensions.

The dreaded T junctions! (and corner)

More to follow.

EDIT

The new T-Junctions and corner to WHQ specifications.

Dungeon in a day! Not entirely happy with the dungeon rooms, might have to make some small wall sections to make them more enclosed.

15mm is so much easier, I think I might play everything in this scale from now on!

I wasn't entirely happy with the way it turned out so I decided to put a little more effort in (I'll readily admit the first go was a bit half arsed!)

I especially wasn't happy with the exterior finish so I decided to add a little detail.

Pictures are brutal! they expose every little miss stroke of the paint brush!

Anyway I think it looks a lot better and will probably do the rest of the dungeon like this.

Anybody know why my pictures are cut in half when I post but look fine when I do a post preview? is it a website thing or a my incompetence thing?

Cheers

The pictures are to big for the frame. If you tap on them you still see the whole thing. I usually re size on photobucket to around 800 width before taking URL.

Awesome looking though. Can't wait to continue the very long saga we have embarked upon.

Thanks, I am working on the first of the new rooms at the moment.

I'll try that resizing thing too.

Cheers,
Dave

I can see them all fine on my laptop - probably a screen resolution issue.

Not a very exciting update but an update nonetheless.

Finished 3 corridor sections.

Half finished the first dungeon room too, hoping to get that completed in the next 48 hours.
