Occident Mundi story

Postby Mike » Wed Feb 17, 2016 3:37 pm

Inquisitor Jericho has heard of The Artefact being located in Occidens Mundi hive. The old playground of the rich. Where better to hide an artifact from the ages.

1000 clicks north of hive Necromunda, family home of the Jericho's. How ironic after many years travelling warp space that the path ends there.

The stories tell of regions shifting like the warp, each showing different times of the ages. Where the rich could experience history and paradise. The hive was automated with servitors controlling the holographic suites and robots. A guide would meet you and escort you to your accommodation. Caring for your needs whilst advertising the hives many experiences.

Inquisitorial seal stopped it all. History is not always the truth.

The underhive always had an ear out for Kal Jericho's where abouts. The bounty hunter was good and lucky.
The latest news was making everyone nervous, there wasn't any.

Ten cycles ago a Jet addict said he was dead, but nobody believed that without a body. He was supposed to have been vaporised by an arbiter scout so there won't be a body.

Arbiters use solids.

And now rumours of a massive tech hoard in Gutsy.

Papa Furgle ;) hadn't had it so good. Every gang was buying up supplies and agreements in prep for the journey to Gutsy.

Every day I touch the idol for luck. I must give an offering. I just can't believe it.

And that old crone sold me her holo card collection which included Gutsy tokens !!

2000 creds each I got. They paid, not one slate?

Do I, no slow down. Get a grip or you will lose everything. Where do I hide that sort of money?

No don't even think about running. Come on get your debts paid and the gangs deals organised. When they have left for Gutsy go home to Bethez. You said you would.

Buy passage today that way I wont have the creds. Sorted.

Occident Mundi. A place where the fat rich go to experience paradise and the filthy rich to revel in the cruel barbaric days of old.
The adverts used to be everywhere.

Relax on a sun drenched paradise islands or why not hunt for Christians in the catacombs.
Your guide will be your friend. Never far away. Providing skin care or spotlighting Christians in the dark.
Remember your must have your guides token at all times.

Gutsy to everyone else. The obese became gigantic needing grav belts for their stomachs untill they could book into the lipo surgeons. There was so much fat they had a sideline in Soaps and incense burners.

Since the seal no one has come back. Scavengers and hivers, all of them. Some say they are living in paradise others say they are now the toys of the robots.

Good they should be there by then. Have we the six.
 Confirmed 4 awaiting update from sensors for the last 2.

Cogs?

 Madame links are green. We should be able to control time in the shifts during passage.

Moan?

 Madame delta reported acclimatisation complete and displacers are effective against shifts.

And?

 Is he reliable?

You are finally awake, good. Until he has seen you in action you will need to be patient with my master of arms Nava'o.
How is your head son? I know you don't like being beamed.

Kal, my apologies, if there could have been another way, I would have done.
You need to be dead for my plan to work.

I need your knowledge of the gangs.

:ugeek: Was I ever alive in your world mother?

;) Ok you old fart you've got 30 cycles to set up camps on the old tracks to Gutsy. The tolls and bribes to the nomads have been huge but the profits from supplying 300 plus gangers for the next 90 plus cycles should make a tidy nest egg for Bethes.

I can't believe Bookworm charged me triple his normal rate for archive data but then the gangs are not even haggling when I ask 25 creds for 2 flicks of an old gutsy holiday mem.

There was that Interesting bit about the medical facilities in Gutsy. No wonder they got fat. Free full repair or replacement parts.

Blessings to Father and your Brothers. Madame Jericho signed.
Toupee, together with my master of arms, will instruct you over the next 30 cycles in the use of our equipment.

 They understood and took that well, my signing can't be that rusty.

I noticed your eye twitch.

:ugeek: you have an unusual accent to your signing mother.

;) Story came in the other day about a ganger who bought from sloppy. I keep telling why I charge more. I couldn't have asked for better advertising.

The guy took a shot at a Delaque and his gun blew his hand off. To make it worse he then, screaming in agony, fell a fathom and nearly killed himself. Ok his gang won the fight but definitely not the war.
