Ordered the rulebook, though waiting on the confirmation.

Reading the battle report on the author's blog, and zooming in to read the text on the photos with the one rulebook review that's out there, I have to say I'm getting pretty dang hyped for this.

I know the plan was to stick to models I already own, but I saw this chap on Mantic's page:

and now I think I'm heading inexorably for a goblin band.

Found a nice apprentice to go with him and everything:

Very cool, one of the benefits of not having racial distinctions in the game is you can use what you like, I was thinking of doing an undead theme myself and like you have been eyeing up new models instead of using existing.... ;)

I've pledged the book on nicstarter too.

Was thinking of using the Dark Emissary figure that Gary painted for me (as a BB coach) for the wizard, then some sort of spectre figure as the (reawoken) spirit of his apprentice.

Dammit...

Started badly painting 'bloblins' (as my 2 year old called them) in anticipation.

I could do a role reversal

The wilder as my Mage

And my caster as the apprentice

But I feel she isn't dressed appropriately for 'up North'.

How's the club terrain collection? (Is there such a thing?)

All the reviews I'm reading are suggesting the table should be pretty rammed full and labyrinthine.

I've got a terraclips set (the same stuff Garry used to make his Mordheim pub) that should be able to provide lots of walls and small boxy buildings if nothing particularly fancy.

We have a fair amount but not sure we can achieve labyrinthine......
