If you don’t get a deadzone game sorted, I’ve got the new Horus Heresy rulebook and the loyalist army book if you fancy giving it a go. I don’t yet have a playable army though so if you don’t mind bringing two of the three you’ve got. Probably best to start small too, say 1,000 points.

Cheers,
Dave

That sounds grand to me - I don’t have the loyalist book but I can put together a traitorous 1k - so if you wanted to do some salamanders as that’s the loyalist legion I have? Or I can put together a bog standard list for them from the normal marine list and only add the legion specific stuff next time?

Cool, bog standard non legion specific units to start off with sounds good.

I’m plugging away at some Imperial Fists but it’s slow going, the new MK VI Marines are a great kit though. Hopefully I’ll have a 1,000 points done by the end of September.

Cheers

If they are I'm after 21.

Not sure if you’re mixing is up or Dave offered as well, but I’ve got a ton.

Dave had offered after our intro game. Happy to 'long term' borrow off of either.

I’ll dig some out of the attic.

I’ve managed to resist buying the new stuff…. So far. But as beakies were my first 40K figures, it could just be a matter of time if I get a few games in!

Right, I’m off to read the rules properly.

I haven’t gone too crazy, I didn’t buy the new big starter set but instead just got a single box of the new MKVI guys as a hobby project (nostalgia).

I’ve since bought a second box and the heavy and special weapons upgrades (which are pretty great value, £22 for all the special weapons you’ll ever need, I’m pretty sure I paid close to that for just 10 meltaguns from FW!)

I have no interest in playing 40k or HH, but if they did a Kill Team using 30k teams and weapons I could be tempted. I also have an affection for the beakies, and always liked the look of the older Mks of armour, and the new kits look great.

The QR code from the first attempt seems to be working again so lets stick with that:

Yep good for me.
As I'm new and not getting dynamics yet, they all seem very hard to achieve!!!

Less models each in a smaller game changes the dynamics somewhat. Nobody will be getting full points that’s for sure.

How many models do you take in a standard game?
