I was originally looking at 6mm for that reason, but fell further down the rabbit hole

I have a ton of 6mm stuff already. Could probably put together several apocalypse armies from it with no problem.

Hmmm.. I think I'll swing back towards 6mm

Should have known you'd have some Epic kicking around :D

Leave it in inches, the speed and range of weapons coupled with the smaller figures will make it look and feel more 'epic' (pun not intended) - one of the 'realism breaks' for most wargames for me has always been how slow vehicles are/short ranged weapons are (though I understand why from a rules perspective).

Of course, if you're doing it because you have a smaller play area, then converting to 1cm = 1 inch is the way to go.

Simon, one of the problems with playing apocalypse at the club is that really it wants to use all the tables...

Hah! I too found myself browsing Epic models and reminiscing and pondering a revival. Itā€™s the little dinky tanks I love.

Trying to focus my hobby efforts in one direction at a time but if your experiment gets off the ground I could be tempted...

Now I'm not trying to build two balanced forces I'm leaning hard toward tanks, planes and knights.
Maybe a titan.

All the good stuff that won't fit on a normal table

I have a ton of marines all ready to go I think, if you want to start off with something else for a trial run? Are you using 3rd party knights and titans or the adeptus titanicus ones? They are more in scale than the old epics ever were.

Looking at 3rd party, but the detail level is bugging me. Using the Titanicus models gives me a gateway into another game and fielding a buttload of knights had an nice ring to it.
