Just to check, will I need the uprising rulebook for anything other than the uprising campaign stuff?

I’m not sure, from the blurry pictures I’ve seen the softcover rulebook in the box has a story type campaign that isn’t on the hard back Book of Ruin. The book of Ruin appears to have alternative campaign types. Not much help I know.

Ok then. I'm probably going to get Perils in the near future so I have the Venator rules to hand. But it doesn't sound like this has anything I'll need-need

Went straight to check my personal bugbear, and there are rules updates in the Uprising book as they now state that when the alarm goes off in a sentry mission, all defenders become ready.

Not sure if we want to switch to that rather than ending the turn as we have been doing? Yes, it makes setting off the alarm late in the turn a very bad thing for the attacker, but also we now know these missions are massively skewed toward the attacker anyway so maybe that’s not so bad?

No new Universal tactics. Handful for each of the box gangs.

Let’s try it, anything is better than the current rules.

Also they have changed* the zone mortalis set up, most scenarios only use 4-7 tiles now.

(*this is an old change but one I’ve only recently been made aware of)
