These games are in danger of becoming too large to play on a tuesday evening...

Haha, just totaled up everything with the Termies and I'm at 254 points over 178 models

Think we should set a 150/160 cap for Tuesday's? The last game definitely moved quicker, it just lasted more rounds instead.

I think the lack of larger models is what makes the games take longer. If we both had more in way of vehicles we could probably play more points in less time.

That's next on the shopping list. Was looking at an all bike detachment but it might not be worth the effort

I might look into sorting my eldar out with some transports and stuff, that should increase the total points and make the games faster all at once. Moving transports is an awful lot easier than moving a ton of units on foot.

We finished about 10:45, but it only lasted that long because it was a draw so we carried on for another turn. I won, but it was 8-7 or something like that so very close.

Guys, I need some advice and opinions please..

Thanks to Quarantine Madness/Cabin Fever I've had the inspiration to build two new Apocalypse armies. One loyalist marine army and a traitor marine army - in 3mm

Figure I can put down around 900 points total between two forces for £30 if using actual model count. I'd be calling the big walkers Knights, because 6 Knights.

Before I get commited to/for this, I was wondering how distance conversion would work. Would it be a straight swap of inch to cm?
Also how much would proper model count be necessary in this scale?
I toyed with orks (skinners faction in the above link) but decided against painting 500odd 3mm orks.

3mm is an odd choice, why not 6mm to be in scale with all the old epic models?

Direct conversion to cm is probably easiest. Going on the base size of single figures I think half cm is actually correct but that would be annoying I think so probably best to just use cm.
