Also, roughly how many points are the starter boxes?

I pointed up a couple and they both came to around 250. 200 is the standard game size, so you should be fine with just a starter box. Oddly, some of the starter boxes come with a second large model, which is odd because you won't be able to use both of them at once.

This bit will sound familiar to deadzone players: In a campaign your total roster starts at 400 points, but you will only be taking 200 points of it each game, so you don't really need to own models for the whole 400 points since a lot of it will be duplicates.

That's handy. I think this will join Necromunda on my list of games I want to start in the new year.

Looking at the description of the box contents on a couple, it reads like you have an option between 2 variants of the large model. Otherwise it would be a bit pointless.

I'm probably going to stick to just the Northern Alliance, so I might be tempted to sell my Nightstalkers and/or Abyssals is someone is interested in them.

Just downloaded the latest warband lists from the website and it's been updated with a ton of stuff including the factions from uncharted empire (yes Gary, this means skaven are a thing now) and even twilight kin (dark elves, who haven't got a kings of war list at all right now)

Totally missed they'd updated the list again.

If anyone is using the EasyArmy website it's not (as of this morning) up-to-date, but the owner was going to get on it.

We all wanted the lists and when they were finally released all I see is people moaning that the are over priced as mantic are trying to get everyone to use their models without actually saying it. You just cannot please some people.

There is a model on the skaven list which I have absolutely no idea about. Not in any list from KOW.
