Deadzone 2 Campaign

I've got 2 sets of original DZ scenery and whatever was in the DZII KS.
If someone wants to put a set together it can happily stay at the hall (I got a set off Oli).

Hopefully (some of) next week I can sort out some of my stuff and work out where and what mats etc I have.
Send help - buried under my lead mountain!

Are you actually going to be playing Simon? It takes less than an hour for a game and the rules are really easy to pick up

How many points a strike team are you thinking?

We have been playing 100 point games so far. Don't know what Tom wants to do for the campaign though.

That's the beauty of the system, you have a 500 point pool of models from which to choose, games can be from 100-300 points so you can just agree with your opponent before hand how many points from your pool to use. Tom mentioned 100 points to start and I think that's as good a place as any. I'd like to see some kind of map and resource system where you get minor bonuses and perhaps extra strategic assets(I think they are called that) depending on what map quadrant you are fighting over etc etc. Pull your finger out Tom!

I've not tried higher points yet, but I reckon a round of 100 point games is a good start to test the campaign system. Plus it could only take 2 or 3 evenings if we play multiple games a night.

Then we can assess things from there. Tweak the campaign system and start over at higher points or if we're happy with things just raise the points value and play another round.

I have fancy campaign ideas like that Dave but they're Frostgrave based.

I'm glad you don't want to apply a ton of extra stuff straight away. I definitely think we need to play a campaign with the rules as written before we worry about what (if anything) needs changing.

Got any connectors you could put your hands by tomorrow? I've run out without managing to complete my set and Mantic currently don't sell just the connectors (which takes the piss a bit).

Plan would be you give me yours and when mantic do start selling the connectors (which they will as they are currently on their site for pre order http://www.manticgames.com/mantic-shop/ ... clips.html) I replace the ones of yours I used.

Cheers,
Dave
