Boardgame Night

Postby Mike » Wed Feb 10, 2016 1:48 am

A suggestion.

How about a regular monthly boardgame night where someone hosts an evening of board games at their house with a pre known boardgame so guests can read up before playing.

With a growing number of games I would like to start playing them more often but not at the loss of tabletop.

The idea being that if the hosts can provide dates and times we could then see if the required number can make it to play the game. Host provides tea and biscuits for the guests.

Several hosts can advertise several evenings in the month with the allotted game and see which is best. Hopefully this will get around work and family schedules.

Ray / Mat this may not be practical for you as you have other games nights already and the travelling bug the offer is still there.

Please air your thoughts gentlemen.

Interested, but would depend on:
a) rota
b) what game(s), as some games I just don't have any desire to play.

Unfortunately won't be able to offer to host as
a) Zoe (still!) gets funny about gaming in the house
b) lack of table space (need to get a new dining table).

Sounds a great plan. You'd be welcome to mine if dates worked out but it'd be a squeeze if more than about four people!

If you use mistletoe in the summoning they turn up in their underwear. What you choose not to wear is your business.

Thinking along the lines of a set calendar with the dates people can be available to host and play with size of group they can host.

We then choose a game, see who wants to play and people can then offer to host based on the calendar etc. Hopefully we can then have a few dates flexibility for the month.

If the games chosen are short we can do 2 per night.

Will bring calendar on Tuesday.

Please note days for hosting is not the same as days available to play. I can attend most nights to play just not every other Friday.
