Alrighty then,

As a starter shall we try doing the Lost Mine of Phandelver in classic 5e? It's an intro adventure, so good for those who haven't played before (or Dm'd before) Plus I've played through it already so am familiar with the story beats.

Would people prefer if we used the ARBLL discord or one that I have?

I think I'll put most of the books and stuff that I've acquired in a google drive and post a link on the Discord so we know where to get started and what we're using.

In the mean time a really good character creator I've been using is https://aurorabuilder.com/ if you go to additional content and use the indexes here https://github.com/AuroraLegacy/elements You'll have pretty much everything that has been created for d&d 5e at your fingertips.

That being said, for now we're using:
The Player Handbook
Sword Coast Adventurers Guide
Elemental Evil Players Companion
Xanathar's Guide to Everything
Tasha's Cauldron of Everything

If you really want to use anything else please let me know and I'll look into it.

That should be everything for now.

Shall we think about kicking off in October?

Laura is v excited and I’m scoping out books.

Quick question, why the elemental evil book? That seems tied to a specific campaign from the blurb.

Elemental evil has some cool new races and fleshes out the spells a little.

If you go to my discord server https://discord.gg/A45Frf9U and go to resources you should find a link to all the books.

Laura is getting very into planning this and wants to know if anybody else had character plans yet so she doesn’t duplicate anything before she gets too wed to her ideas.

Both are indeed options in the Player’s Handbook.

I’m thinking Bard. But always happy to change if treading on someone else’s plans.

Stats via roll, standard array or point buy?
