Should week 1 of a season be designated the practice/learn the rules week?

Maybe not so much for standalone games but for games with a campaign element I feel it’s always worth a “find your feet” type game before committing proper to a gang or load out or whatever.

Definitely. Those that have played the game before can show the ropes for the others.

So, as someone who is still new to the club, how do the seasons generally work?

Does everyone just play each other once? Are there rankings? Is there a narrative? Or is it more free form?

Depending on game chosen will be rankings or narrative. Aim is for everyone to play each other once.

Am I right in thinking the campaign is put back until the next potential restriction easing?

I think until we can find a way for everyone to join in is the condition we’re trying to reach. Which currently means when Gary can play without mask. Fingers crossed the next easing whenever it happens will allow that.

Given the current trends I think to avoid frustration we need to wait for the restrictions to actually be eased before we set a date rather than them just planning to be eased.
