Not me!

Campaign article on the Warhammer Community site yesterday. This actually looks like a really interesting and different way to approach a campaign. Each player has their own objective and can play campaign games against anyone rather than having to stay within a predefined group of people.

We also now have a hint as to how the beasts in the starter set work. The chaos warbands are able to take them based on how much territory they control.

When it comes to the rules I bought out of hope rather than expectation but the model content value of the set was good enough reason to buy it even if the rules end up being pants.

I tried really hard not to but I have absolutely no self control so I ordered the starter box.

Was just wondering why there had been on movement at all on my order, and it turns out it was randomly a two week preorder period, unlike just about every other gw release ever.

Yeah two weeks for this one. Maybe so they can make sure they meet demand or something.

Also, other warbands are release next week (along with Necromunda stuff!)

Now the faction cards are leaking Iā€™m seeing some annoyingly sloppy game design work. Like thereā€™s a universal ability to spend a double for +1 attack dice, and the Ghosts and Sea Elves both have units with a unique ability that is exactly the same plus a restriction of some kind. Literally pointless to ever use.

Fixable with errata if they acknowledge it, but there's always the risk they'll just ignore it or somehow try and claim it was intentional.
