That's a lot of big bugs

I'm floating around 140-150 power now. I've been using 40k detachments as a guide, but i'm assuming there'll be a couple of differences. So it will depend on how exactly I can organise the guys.

Had a skim of the book last night, some interesting alliance examples in there... Orks and Guard, Blood Angels and Necrons...

Ah yes, the famous Matt Ward codex fluff. Blood Angels and Necrons was a stupid idea.

Orks and Guard used to be a thing in early editions though. The Blood Axe clan would trade and I assume occasionally fight alongside the Imperium. They even had rhinos and land raiders instead of the normal ork vehicles in 2nd ed epic.

It's given me the idea for a feral Ork detachment lead by a weird boy to put alongside the chaos guys.
Could say the Dark Apostle and Rogue Psykers on the force coerced them via the weird boy

That's a future idea though. Also thinking Leman Russ's to pad out the Traitor Guard detachment

After seeing the game in action now, I've had a reorganise of the guys, added 17 extra minis (or will be) and come in at 154 power instead. Those 'price breaks' in the power costs are useful.

Im thinking of maybe taking Orks next time. My army will be less organised because it's going to end up being a case of using everything I own, which will probably make for a better game. I think I have a bit of an advantage with tyranids in that I can pick and choose what I want to take.

Found my Orks. It's going to be a really bodged together army which should be amusing. Want to set a date and game size so I know what I need to get done?

Earlier than I was expecting, but sure. Good thing I like unreasonable painting goals.
