So long, farewell, auf weidersehen, goodbye!

So this has all happened at a bit of a breakneck speed and thought it would be easier to tell the masses rather than individually.

As many will know my partner lives in America and we’ve been trying to work out how to actually be in the same continent for a while now. We’d been talking over moving to Germany as immigration is easier there and my parents have a flat so we can move in rent free etc, but this was a next year thing once we’d worked it out properly.

Then came the surprising news of my work looking to make people redundant, I thought about it and decided that I couldn’t let somebody else lose their job when I was going to leave anyway. So decided to put in for voluntary redundancy, it’s been excepted and my last day was actually today!

This however has accelerated my plans some what and I’m now going to vacate the country at the end of August... this August!

We’ve still got a few more weeks, and I’m hoping to have some sort of bbq towards the start of August, which it’d be great if you could attend. But then I’ll be off

See you on Tuesday, where I’m sure I’ll be bombarded with questions!

Wow. You're not kidding about thing moving quickly! I can only really echo the comments above, great news for you (as Dave mentioned, Germany is a great place to go), not such good news for us. I wish you both Good Luck and hats off for chasing the dream.
