Kill Team rules discussion

Argh, back to the drawing board. Seems you have to pay for all wargear, including that you start with, not just any Upgrades (hasn't affected my SM list, does the rough admech list I had).
Send help - buried under my lead mountain!

90% of ours are free. Finally marines having to pay for something?

No, I think theirs are all free (maybe Reivers and/or Intercessors, but I hadn't taken them).

I'm pretty sure no weapons are free in Killteam. Which ones are you thinking you get for free?

Most of the standard stuff they come with are zero points. Special weapons for chaos are all three. I'm getting at the pages and pages of marine upgrades for the fan boys.

Oh right! I saw them all listed but didn't think to check the values and see some were zero :oops:

At least one unit (basic Ad Mech Rustwalkers) get cheaper when you make their upgrade. They start (14pts) with Transonic Razors (0pts) and Chordclaw (1pt), which are both replaced with Transonic Blades (0pts) so they go back to 14pts.

Seems this is the way they do it in 8th ed 40k, which once it was spelt out makes sense, but isn't clear in the rules if you've never played 8th and/or you've played previous GW games where the standard wargear a model starts with is part of it's points cost.

RAW if you charge but don't kill the enemy, if the opponent gets priority in the next turn and falls back all you (as the previous charger) can do is stand still or fall back yourself - you can't charge again.
Makes CC armies a bit worse.

(No idea if that's the intention, will wait to see if it's mentioned in the FAQ.)
