Campaign Update - Timelines

Postby Dave » Wed Jul 11, 2018 10:53 am

Looking back at the club night forum suggests to me like we started the second Gang War on 15th May.

Rough workings lead me to this:

Cycle One -15th May to 29th May
Cycle Two - 5th June to 19th June
Cycle Three - 26th June to 3rd July

So Cycle 4 started last night (10th). I reckon stretch cycle four (which is also the last cycle) to the 31st July giving people another three club nights to get a game in.

Then do the final battle within the following two weeks (so by the 14th August) with a view to start the third Gang War on the 4th September (with the idea then being that a cycle is a calendar month for ease of management).

I am happy to do a big free for all for the last game rather than a "top 2" game if everyone agrees.

Cheers,
Dave

Could do both? As long as the big final free for all isn't another Gang Moot where my stupid guys don't realise anything is going on!

All start around the edges and then get a point at the end of the turn for holding objectives scattered about in the middle?

Yeah, don’t see why not both.

Maybe a home brew scenario, as you suggest, for the multi player.

Further to my original post I am minded to think that we push the start date back a little. As we are playing calendar months this would mean starting on the 2nd of October for the next cycle.

Primarily due to holidays but also to allow for the chance for other recently released games (Kill Team, AoS for example) to be played (which I think we have all hinted at being interested in trying).

Just my thoughts, happy to hear contrary opinion of course.

That's fine except it puts the start date right when I go on holiday so I won't be able to get started until the 16th.

I too am missing two weeks in October. There are 5 Tuesday's in October though so hopefully we can still get at least one game in this Cycle (maybe even two).
