I like the undead stuff so will wait until they are released before I jump in.

You had me worried for a minute there on the alternative cards in case they were something people might want later on in deck building, but can't get because they were pre order exclusive, and that would put me off massively. It looks like they are just alternate art versions of the cards for the base game characters though so it's all good. I'll probably be preordering at some point in the week.

From what I can gather you will get faction specific cards which will come in the model's box.

You might need the original box for the dice, although there seems to be plenty of others getting it and I'm sure you could borrow some....

Wait and see I guess. I know the decks are fairly small and that every card must be unique. And I think the team boxes are going to come with a few 'neutral' cards each.

If we do end up getting into this and certain cards are in demand, then the old photocopy backed by a Magic card in a sleeve sounds more appealing than buying a whole new game just for a few cards!

Or keep an eye on EBay for people parting out the minis and dumping off the cards.

Which factions are people interested in?

It looks like there are going to be 8 in total, of which we have currently seen 4. Orks and Undead are released 4th November. Remaining ones are Dwarfs, Skaven, Alt Stormcast, and Alt Khorne, which are coming later.

Hard to say at the moment. I think we all like the sound of the Undead resurrection mechanic but until we've got a few games under our belts it's pretty much impossible to judge.

Given that the models are fixed and it's only the cards you faff with I'd think they could be shared and swapped around the group pretty well.
