Goliath theme book!?

There's a lot of 'unstable' in the new Goliath gear, which is a 50/50 chance to blow yourself up every time the dice tell you to make an ammo roll!

The storm welder the new small guys carry seems to have a roughly equal chance of exploding the guys you point it at, or yourself, or both. Str 5, Rapid Fire (3), Unstable. So potentially putting out a huge amount of shots, but also really high odds of going boom yourself. Only 16" range with +1 to hit at 8", and the guys carrying it are BS4+ though.

Ooh! They've made clear that hired guns always turn up on top of your scenario allotted number of fighters.

Worked out my new gang plan. Too many new toys to afford a starting Kroc! Prospects may be cheap but their fancy gear isn't,

I’ve got my book now and it’s really well done, I’m liking it a lot, loads of character.

I’m picking things up as I read through it but one worth noting is that one ganger starts as a specialist and can advance by spending Exp, also only specialist gangers can take special weapons now (a change I’m all for).

Hmmm, there’s whole bunch of weapons on the leader list that aren’t on any of the Goliath weapon sprues or Forgeworld kits. I wonder if something new is coming?

With all this gene-smithing there’s great temptation to have a very small but very tough starting gang.

Also I’ve decided that I’m not keen on the ‘Zerker model and (if I ever get my current stuff done) I’m going to just use one of those tasty new Ogryns with some extra vials and tubes slapped on. Maybe with a comedy tiny Goliath head.

Yeah the genesmithing stuff is pretty cool! Will be interesting to see what they come up with for the other gangs.

I don’t mind the model but don’t need one anytime soon, agree that the new Ogryns are pretty ace.

When did the card sleeves go out of production then? Removed entirely from the GW site so presumably no more incoming any time soon.

I found an online shop that claimed to have stock at the standard price and ordered four packs. Fingers crossed...
