Map Based Campaign

After a while spent frowning over Nighthaunt to Nightstalker conversions and cursing GW giant base sizes, I reckon this is a goer with a little creative licence.

As long as you have the right sized movement trays, you can get away with not having the full model count in the unit.

Oh they’ll be well below the recommended number of models! With GW bases they often won’t even fit on a movement tray sensibly.

The main issue is with heroes. No GW hero would be seen dead fitting on a 20mm square base.

Do you not have any smaller square based models that would work as heroes, maybe from dungeon saga or something?

I’m sure I could find something if need be. Just musing over my favourite fancy Nighthaunt spooks.

How many points will we need?

One of my silly ideas has begun percolating, I'll probably be Basillean now.

There are the alliance rules, so if you don’t have enough models of a certain faction, or want a certain theme, that is a way around it.

I’m pretty certain that max game size will be 1,500 points for this campaign, so although you may have multiple armies on the campaign map you really only need 1,500 points of models.
