Opponent: Ray
Scenario: The Library
Treasure: 3-2 to me (but I lose the war!)
Level: 11 (105XP banked)
Warband Rating: 2393 (drop 1122!)

We both easily went for the treasures closest to us, helped by a couple of Fogs blocking LoS both ways). As usual, my specialist soldiers were useless, the Infantryman getting wounded by a skeleton, the Barbarian getting beaten up by an archer. We both moved towards the central treasure (which couldn't be moved - curses!). I made a major error by moving my wizard to grenade (unsuccessfully) a line of Ray's archers (two misses, 1 OOA), and forgot about his Man-at-Arms that was lurking behind the fog. My wizard proved as inept as my soldiers in hand-to-hand and succumbed before I could get support to him (both of which were held up in pointless combat by their own ineptitude :x ).
After my wizard was removed my soldiers woke up and dispatched the soldiers Ray had near the central treasure, meaning I secured it as he left.

Post game: Wizard had a Close Call and lost 1300 points of gear (ouch!), other two both survived (of course!). Scenario allowed yo to reroll a treasure if the first roll wasn't a scroll or Grimoire, and I (probably stupidly!) rerolled both the Magic Items I found, and I know have a small library of Grims to learn, and only 4 games left in the campaign  .

Improved a spell (first thought Heal, then Enchant Weapon, before settling on Elemental Bolt) and improved Fight (I mean, he must hit someone at some point, surely!). Was going to learn Absorb Knowledge (found previous game), but looking at the spell again, with only 4 games left and the high casting number I decided not to bother and banked the XP). Sold a scroll I've had since game 1 (Plane Walk), but didn't bother rolling Black Market as I couldn't afford anything I'd want.

Mike vs Ben

Scenario
The Wizard's House (The FOG)
Treasure
3-2 to Mike but only just, the FOG semed to have spikes, spears and swords in it that stopped me picking the central treasure up.
Level
12 with 60 xp banked

Stat - Health +1
Learnt - Fast Act from a grimoire
Improved Spell - Suggestion

Treasure
16 - 40g plus Elemental Bolt grimoire
2 - 80g
4 re rolled to 12 - 20g + Ring of Transference 400g ( Give up to 5 of your life to another member. Thank you internet.)

Gold - 178
Warband rating - 3114

Luckily for me Ben had 2 guys out of the game and did not go on the offensive much.
Just annoyed the hell out of me with his everlasting FOG with mysterious entities in it.
I think it took over 8 turns to get the chance to pick the central treasure up.

Pulled a very lucky Dog killed Werewolf early in the game. Could have made a mess of my escapes with the treasure.
The 6 medium constructs took a bit of time to get rid of.

Ben being entertained by a White Gorilla back near his base line stopped his super archer taken more than my xbow out.
A long game ending with my xbowmen badly hurt.

Did Ben not take his free thieves/thugs if not taking the wounded soldiers?

Do they not still count towards your max number of warband members?

Nope, check the campaign document.
If a soldier is Badly Wounded you can either bring them at -6 wounds, or temporarily replace them with a thug or thief.

You should always have 10 unless a spellcaster is missing (and you haven't/can't pay to heal them).

Ah well, live and learn. Thought I'd done well to go a whole week without making a mistake!

b]Opponent[/b] Mike
Scenario The Living Museum
Treasure 2 - 3
Level  14 with 45 xp banked
Warband rating 3966
Misc  Boosted Heal, increased Fight, learned Invisibilty.

Treasures found: Ring of Power (1) - given to my apprentice so he can MAYBE get an extra spell off per game, 2 x scrolls - Destroy Undead and Summon Demon.

The HGV driver shortage has made its way to Frostgrave, as my Black Market contact had some seriously understocked shelves.

A real grind of a game, I was exhausted by the end of it! Turn 2 I popped a fog in the centre of the board, hoping it would help keep me safe from the 3 statues on the other side for a while, but it ended up lasting the whole game! Seriously, I think the only times I rolled 20s were for the bloody fog which only needed a 4+!
I was able to lock down the centre of the board and slow the game down, hoping that the various monsters and constructs might wear down Mike' warband so I could make a late grab for the central treasure, but it was not to be. Still, it allowed extra turns of casting and killing monsters to rack up some XP and made us both laugh with how annoyingly effective it proved to be, so not a total loss!
Might have played a bit more aggressively if I'd read the post that said I could bring my injured soldiers, or replace them with thugs, but if I'm going to make a mistake I'd rather it was one that was detrimental to me than my opponent!

You had them on the board. They were in spectral form inside that bloody fog.
