With 2017 coming to a close in 3 weeks it's time to get 2018 rolling....
Nothing is changing as far as the rules and points are concerned. I've had nothing but good feedback for 2017; ain't broke so don't fix it

The South West Tournament Championship has been running a few years now and encompasses 13 tournaments run by 12 tournament organisers in the rough area of south west England and Wales.
Starting with Exebowl, in October, and ending with Exiles Open, in September, all coaches who attend these events are entered into the Championship. Once a coach has attended 3 they are eligible to win the trophy.
To qualify for the SWTC you must attend at least 3 of the 13 mentioned tournaments. Your 3 highest placings in the ones you attend will be used for your score; however there must be at least two different races in those 3. If you take Wood Elves (for example) for a third time your lowest score with them will drop off and not be considered, or if you take Skaven to all 13 only 2 will be considered for the SWTC score.
The coach who places first will receive 10 points, second 9 points, third 8 points and so on down to 9th place winning 2 points. Everyone else, from 10th down, scores 1 point. Then every coach is awarded a bonus point for every full 10 coaches below them in the ranking.
This means everyone scores for playing and those that top the tables at larger events (inherently harder to do) earn a few more points to reflect the extra challenge.
For example, the top placed coach in a 32-player tournament will gain 13 points (10+3), whereas the winner of 20-player tournament will gain 11 points (10+1).
One day events award half points. However, the two highest one day scores will be combined to make one full score, equivalent to a two day event score. This can happen more than once, so four one day scores will combine into two full scores.
It had been seen that those who could only attend the one day events could not really compete as their total score would never catch those who attend a couple of two day events, so this change was made in an effort to make sure all coaches can compete.
For example: I score –
4 points at Exebowl (one day),
3.5 points at ACT (one day),
1 point at Bubba (one day),
6 points at ARBBL (two day),
5 points at Cake (two day),
and 2 points at ACC (two day).
Exebowl and ACT will combine for 7.5 points, then added to ARBBL and Cake to give me a running total of 18.5 points. The 2 points from ACC won’t count as there are three higher scores.
Alongside this (and separately) is the SWTC Stunty Cup. The highest placed Stunty Coach will receive 10 points, second place 9 points third 8 points and so on down to 9th place winning 2 points. Everyone else scores 1. Then every coach is awarded a bonus point for every full 10 coaches (Stunty or not) below them in the ranking. The "two races" caveat on the main score is dropped in the case of the Stunty Cup. Qualifying Stunty teams are Goblins, Halflings, Ogres, Lizards with no Saurus and Underworld with no Skaven. Again, one day events will score in the same way as the main SWTC.
For example, a Stunty coach finishes 8th in a 20-player tournament and wins the Stunty Cup. For the main list they earn 4 points (3+1). For the Stunty Cup they earn 11 points (10+1).
After the points are counted at Exiles Open in September a trophy will be awarded to the highest placed Coach and Stunty Coach.
The format hasn't really changed but if anyone has any questions, please ask.
