Looks like you'll be needing a new Codex Dave... Some of these look pretty bad ass though. So I might also need one

Just realised it's only been 18 months since the 8th ed codex came out for them, about 6 months before 9th ed rules dropped.

That's a quick turnaround given that 8th had a 3 year run

Everythings a quick turnaround compared to the twenty odd years my sisters codex lasted for.

Sisters are purely aspirational at this point.

I’ll stick with Necrons for now (500 points painted!) and hopefully pick up sisters in slow time (probably when 10th edition rolls around......)

seems like a good plan.

As nice as they look I've already got enough armies for 40k

Not Dark Angels -1500
Lady Marines - 500
Custodes - 500
Chaos Knights - 1000
Death Guard - not counted them up
Random Inquistor Vanguard Detachment - tbc

They are doing well. 3 days of previews so far and not a single thing I actually want to buy. I have way too much stuff already so I think my new plan with owning a lot of armies and codexes being £30 each is to just play guard/eldar/nids while the older codexes I have for them are still correct and worry about what to do next when I'm forced to buy new rules.

I haven't rushed out to buy the DG codex, but will probably get the chaos knights one so i can use those models. Using battlescribe for Custodes & Inq atm, but will look at paying for access to the app again when the world unlocks a bit more.

If I'd known this was where we would be almost a year later there's no way I would have bought into 9th at all. The massive amount of releases since has felt weird to me when actually playing the game has been illegal for a vast amount of their customer base. Now it feels like I am way behind on all of it and will probably just about manage to get my head round 9th before they replace it again.
