Normal eBay markup on new stuff then. If you want anything from the box it's probably best to just buy the entire thing or wait a few months for the parts prices to become sensible.

I mean I haven't played full 40k for decades, but even I can see that those new melta guys are straight up bonkers for range and damage. And 3 wounds each. And apparently relatively (points) cheap as well.

My latest likely to never be realised daydream was picking up Eldar for the new edition as I do love an aspect warrior, but (a) they are mostly still resin shite and (b) the million and 1 new primaris flavours seem to do everything they do but better and either cheaper or significantly tougher.

Isn't that what the oldies call hard mode? We can't be far away from marine type factions being the only factions. Don't they already outnumber the Xenos?

I'm waiting for an order 66 like scenario and the primaris marines cull the 'original' marines.

They did it to the thunder warriors to make room for the space marines...

Playing with Battlescribe looking at Combat Patrol lists. They said online it would be around 25 power each or 500pts.

I just made a 498pt list that's 38 power... it only had 12 models in it though

Was anyone trying to get the box? Looked like the standard mad scramble for insufficient stock that seems mark a lot of GW releases these days.

Top moment of release day was when the Warhammer community website post saying it was available for preorder went up at about 5pm, around 6:45 after all the stock had run out...

I got one though outpost, and I believe Brad managed to get one from somewhere too.

It took 8mins because the site was weirdly slow, but I got one direct.

The schadenfreude of imagining the reaction from the stockpiling eBay scalpers is very sweet.
