Have a question for anyone with access to the rules.

I have 1 orange card and 4 locos. There are two routes on the map that are 5 orange to take, and one is connected to my network (and would have given me the longest route bonus), but the game wouldn't let me claim it. It would however let me claim the other orange route which isn't anywhere near my network.

Is there a rule that I'm unaware of, or is it just a bug (made no difference to my position, still 2nd). Unfortunately I don't seem to have the rules to hand, and the game just says "you need more cards of this colour", without explaining why I can take one route but not the other.

As far as I'm aware you should always be able to claim an open route, there are no network restrictions.

More like I need to play with my display settings! Just downloaded a map of the internet, and it's red on the map, but on the steam game it looks more orange.
I knew my eyesight was going but...

So that and Two Dots are games where I'm starting to be unable to tell colours apart. Any yet my optician says my eyes are fine...
