Hi all!

Has anyone played any Dystopian Wars or is interested in playing it?

Its a game i've always had my eye on and it's pretty cheap on GoblinGaming so considering picking up a fleet.

From what I can tell, you basically start off with one of the Battlefleet sets built around a central main ship and they go for about £30 then you can add additional ships etc which come in packs for about £18 or add another battlefleet set.

This (unusually for me!) wouldn't be a major purchase and I'm not looking at going for the entire range, but wouldn't mind a few small games of it.

Failing that, if anyone's interested the starter set with all the rules/templates and 2 fleets is £68 on Goblin Gaming, so could have a chat about potentially splitting the starter in half- although i'd rather not do this option as I prefer the Imperium Fleet with the giant walking robots.

Was always a game I was interested in (and Legion), but for me it's passed me by.

I'm with Mike on this one. Not interested in dystopian wars but would happily play armada.

Iirc I got it just before the 2nd club shut-down after a sale, which burst the hype bubble.

Appreciate this was asked a while ago, but I’ve got two dystopian wars fleets not doing very much. They’re from a mate’s estate so I’m looking to sell them, but happy to try a game with them first to see if it’s worth keeping them?

They’re the old Spartan models, the Prussian and British fleets. As far as I can tell, Warcradle have ported the look of the ships over and have essentially renamed them all (the Prussians are Imperium now I think). The ships are all painted and based (including names) so I suspect it would be fairly easy to work out what is what under the new rules.

And yes, the fleets do include some of the waterlined giant Prussian robots
