The latest matched play points update added points for Brettonians. Just sayin’...

I’m liking everything I hear about 3rd Ed. Including a nice looking campaign system like 40k crusades.

What have you heard?

I’m waiting for them to do new freeguild models in the style of the latest human models.

Pretty sure I have enough models for small games, but I think the double turn rule is still a thing and that is massively putting me off even trying it.

They've leant into it. Going second now gives you a some bonuses and there's more reactive actions you can take in your opponent's turn.

Ever hopeful, I got the new core book and General’s handbook and have planned a minimum size Path to Glory (Crusade) force. If anyone wants to see any points or rules just let me know.

How does the whole path to glory thing work? Is it like 40k crusade (assuming you know anything about that at all)? Smaller games with units chosen from a larger roster. Gain experience over time for small upgrades. Earn campaign points to buy new units and stuff.

I own about 800 points thanks to buying that discount army deal to use for warcry, so I'm at least up for trying it out at some point. The things I definitely don't like about the rules are probably less annoying in smaller campaign games than trying to play it competitively at full size.

Yup that’s pretty much it. I can phone photo Dropbox the basics if you’d like? Presuming we’re talking the wet-elves you might need to find their faction abilities from somewhere though as they’ll be in their army book.
