Battletech

Hey all

I know AT has kind of become the new big stompy robot game but ive been looking at the new alpha strike stuff from battletech as it seems to be an interesting streamlined version of the horribly complex battletech rules.

Its pretty cheap to get into (under £20 to get yourself a lance of mechs) and the new sculpts while nowhere near AT level of details are pre assembled so make for a nice filler game.

Has anyone played it?

I loved the cartoon when I was a kid!

Never really thought about the table top game, does it use a hex map?

Despite the cost I can recommend Adeptus Titanicus
