Song of Blades and Heroes

Like Mike I kind of miss miniatures skirmishing now that DZ seems to have fizzled out, but the strict requirements to be involved in his plans intimidate me and I'm still happily resisting getting back into 40k.

So I remembered this little PDF ruleset I bought ages ago. Small fantasy skirmishes, extremely light rules and quick play. I believe it even has a simple campaign system it claims you can wrap up in an evening (and a more in depth ongoing one with ludicrously giant random event tables in an expansion I also picked up).

The main draw is it is made for generic miniatures use so you can probably throw a band together from whatever you have to hand.

It might be brilliant, it might be far too simple and be awful. Won't know until we try!
