Board Attachment Limit and Board Attachment Quota

Hey hey!

I'm unable to attach anything meaningful (i.e. >40kb) to any threads. I keep getting errors about either board attachment limit or board attachment quota.

Do you mean pictures? Just stick them on Photobucket and paste in the IMG link they give you.

Currently, I hate Photobucket. The site is full of advertising spam and it's not loading correctly on either of my computers, in several browsers.

The board is not setup to resize/crop images so you need to submit them at a sensible size otherwise they will end up massive and screw up the layout. I resize mine down to a width of 800 pixels. If you want to see what sort of size that is then look at my threads in the painting forum. I use preview (mac) to do this, but I'm sure there must be a simple way on windows that someone can tell you about.

MS Paint, resize, (click the box to keep ratio, else you'll get some weird pics).
There's probably an easier way, but I've been doing it this way for so long it's almost automatic.

Gary says he has problems with Photobucket as well, though I've never had a problem with it (apart from when I forget moving files breaks the links). I'm not sure if it's still going but Imageshack used to be a good alternative.

Jesus, you're not wrong on the Photobucket desktop site. Almost unusable with all the ad bloat.

I usually use it via the mobile phone app and that works fine!

Just tried to attach an image and got the message. I've turned off the overall board limit so it should be back to working how it was a few weeks ago now.
