Deadzone for me I guess? Or am I now the bye for this round?

I played Sven and Mike played Matt. So it's between you, Ray and Dave for the final match.

Not so much as a bye but who ever next plays out of the three of you the left over gets to choose after Mat has chosen his next opponent.

So, no DZ while we wait on the last round 1 game. What will the non-40kers do?

Anyone fancy learning Netrunner, he said hopefully?

Or a big board game? I never got to see Spartacus' full glory.

Did you say you'd recently got Small World Mike? That's a nice flexible one for simple(ish) to learn, not too long a play time and variable number of players. I think I'm a bit Carcassone-ed out.

Is there no gang rating system then? With lower ranked gangs getting a bonus?

I expect I won't be able to play every round in a timely fashion and I don't want people hanging around waiting for me to do so.

Cheers,
Dave

It's not hanging around. No rush, there's plenty of other games to be played in the interim!

There isn't a ranking system with handicaps/bonuses as such, but as models level up they cost more points yet you're still limited to only taking 70 points in your force. So individual models may get 'arder but the numbers you can field start to dwindle and it should in theory stay relatively balanced.

Also unlike sporting games, I'm not sure anyone is going to want to play non-assigned games as there's too much you could potentially lose in DZ!

In a DZ campaign if the models you take in a game don't add up to 70 do you still get the leftover points fr ammo etc?
I.E. if my 6 Enforcers cost 68pts do I get 2 to spend on extras, or is it wasted?

And how does healing work? From my 2 games so far I'm going to need it!

Ammo and other items are a part of your overall roster. If you've got it on your roster and it fits in the 70 points you're good. You can't take it if you don't have it and when it's used up it's gone until you buy more. So it's good to keep a stash of ammo on your roster to use up those last few points indeed!

Models injured miss a battle unless you spend one rep to heal them.

Models killed are gone forever unless you spend three rep to roll on a table. 1- Dead, 2 to 5 - Stat loss, 6 to 8 Full recovery.

Simon you have some credits left over from your 140 strike force so you can use that to buy more ammo or save for healing.

But as Tom said you choose up to 70 from your strike force and if you use only 68 tough.

I went with 65 against Mat as there was nothing I could use based on my choices. Enforcers are not ideal hence unlocked recon drone for next game only 4 points.
