What’s this epic pirates?

Latest in the tiny epic range of games. Kickstarter about a year ago and just released retail. Simon and I played online Tuesday. He backed full wack.

Clearly, I'll also be doing this!

Happy to let others get a fix/game until such time that we can get reasonable numbers back in or there is less take up than spaces. Looking forward to getting back into Malifaux and X-Wing at some point.

Have sent you a link to the rules for both the core game and two expansions. There are also several 'tutorials' on YouTube unsurprisingly, most of which are pretty good. I believe some one has already done an unofficial version for Steam but don't know how well it plays on the platform. It's a great little game; even Mrs DC is happy to play on a semi-regular basis.

And why would you back anything less than full whack? :? Mantic have only given me one reasonable option for Hellboy...

I’d be for a board game or card game.

I quite fancy trying Cursed City if Mike has it ready.

But I’m not sure how best to handle the over subscription.

Well, assuming Gary is (still?) passing you've got 7 wanting to come, 2 with game planned (Ray and Brad), 4 with no real plans and 1 (Benny) wanting a 40k game but no takers.

Still, light at the end of the tunnel...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I don't think that over subscription is actually going to be an issue. Government guidance changes on Mon (17th) allowing more interaction and indoor activities - indoor activities such as cinemas, bowling alleys, arcades and play areas are all opening up and have to follow Covid-secure measures put in place by the venue. The same with indoor sport and gym classes - I know of a couple of local Pilates classes going ahead with a capacity of 8 in a large hall (probably a bit smaller than the Scout Hut). Indoor hospitality venues are also reopening. It's probably worth mentioning here that they limited to 6 per table not 6 per establishment, so as long as in our case, tables are more than 2m part, it shouldn't be an issue.

Clearly this maybe trumped by the Scouts direction but government guidance is changing.

My 2p, nothing more than that, but throwing it out for consideration.

Good point. I’ll dig a bit more and check with the hut.

Hut say yes to up to four distanced tables of six people. So more than enough capacity!

Masks still a legal requirement though.
